Many green products are created by moms who want reduce their own family's impact on the environment. Rather than producing my own homemade wraps and bags, I sought out the best products already on the market. When my friends started asking me for referrals for good green products, I realized that most busy parents don't have time to make their own green products or do hours of online research. They just want a trusted source for best green products available. That's why I started Eco by Design.

 

For me, going green goes beyond just making changes in my own home and community. My interest in preserving the environment for generations to come led me to acquire credentials that  I use to consult with homes and businesses on the best ways to "go green". I am a Certified Green Building Professional (CGBP) through Build it Green and a Certified Green Consultant through the Green Business & Homes League. I've also consulted with schools and community organizations on how they can make a difference. 

We choose products from companies that are mostly mom- or dad-founded. The products we feature are chemical-free, some locally produced, organic and just plain safe for you and your family. We save you hours of research and present you with products that we've personally used and loved. These products also make great gifts for your family and friends.
